Lighting the Tree & Carol Singing

Outside Talaton Inn

2 Dec 22 - 18:00

Join us outside the Shop and Pub to get Christmas in Talaton underway. The shop will open from 5-6pm in preparation for turning on the lights. Our local celebrity this year is long term resident Mo Amor, who is leaving the village soon to be closer to her daughter. Mo volunteered in the shop for many years and will be missed by her all her friends and neighbours.

After the lighting ceremony at 6pm there will be Carol Singing outdoors with music provided by "Brass Class" from Ottery Silver Band, provided by the Church of St James the Great with a charity collection in support of Devon Freewheelers, also known as the Blood Bikes.

Hot mulled cider, Hot Chocolate Marshmallows, Mince Pies and Bar Snacks from £2.50 available from the Talaton Inn. Full menu also available.

The village tree will also serve as a Memory Tree to remember a loved one. Bows and weather proof labels are on sale at the shop for £3 in aid of Devon Freewheelers Charity.

The celebrations continue on Saturday, see the next event!
