About our Club

The Robots Club (Retired Old Boys of Talaton) was formed in 2018. It is intended as a vehicle for older chaps in the village – who don’t need to be fully retired by the way – to meet and socialise. We do this by holding a lunch on the last Thursday of each month at the Talaton Inn AND we also try to organise one other activity per month. This might be a group walk, a trip to a sporting event (eg cricket, horseracing) or an outing with some other focus. At some of these events partners are very welcome and encouraged to join in. Previous activities include a tour of Ottery St Mary Church, a trip to a traditional cyder-maker and landmarks such as Beer caves. The whole idea is to cater for an eclectic range of interests and to offer a Club that is welcoming to ALL, regardless of their existing hobbies etc. Anyone who would like to come and try us out may contact the Hon Sec and attend one of our events for free. If you decided to join subsequently the annual membership is currently set at a very affordable £10 p.a.
