Parish Hall
Talaton Parish Hall is situated 2 minutes walk from the centre of the village with its pub, the Talaton Inn, and The Village Shop. Only 5 minutes drive from the A30,on the road to Fairmile and Escot, and from Whimple and Feniton stations.
The hall's modern facilities make it an excellent venue for private parties, receptions, meetings, shows and gigs.
The main room is suitable for 80 seated at tables, 100 seated and 120 standing, and has a licence for music and entertainment. The light, modern kitchen has place settings for 100, range oven, and 2 sinks. We also have a stage and a multi-media room which can be used for lighting and projections. There is wheelchair access, a toilet for the disabled and a loop system.

TALATON PARISH HALL
Talaton Parish Hall Managers are very pleased to report that their recent grant application has been approved by the Big Lottery Fund Awards for All. This means that we are able to go ahead with the project to erect a timber building on the ground to the rear of the Hall, for which Planning Permission has been granted. The Awards for All grant will partially fund the project and the balance will come from monies raised from Hall hirings and fund-raising events.
The timber building will be used for the safe storage of equipment belonging to the Hall, Youth Club, Pantomime and Village Day, thereby freeing up space in the Hall and Committee Room.
This project is part of the Parish Hall Committee's undertaking to keep under constant review the ways and means of maintaining and improving the Hall's facilities for the benefit of all village residents.
We are very grateful to the Big Lottery Fund for their support and also to all those in our village who support the Parish Hall. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year.

Villages in Action
These people do so much to help Village Communities - just think of the wonderful performances we have had in our Hall. Like many other groups their funding has been cut and services are under threat.
The programme for 2011/12 is now in place.
